Here are some of the questions that we have been asked, recently. We list them so some of your questions might be answered easier. Q: We need to update our department by-laws. We would like to have someone assist us with this. Does your company do that? A: Yes, we can assist with updating department by-laws. Q: Since the terrorist attack on 9/11 people have become somewhat leery about joining our department. Is there a way that you can help us recruit new members? A: Recruiting new members is not an easy task for any department. We can assist you with ideas, suggestions, and training that may help with the recruiting process. Q: Can we contact Butler County Community College to see if the Instructor is an approved Instructor? A: Yes, by all means. Q: If I need a course to advance in my department (for elections), can I take a course on an individual basis and still receive a certificate? A: Yes, we offer some courses for individuals. Please call the office for more information. Q: Our Company has some ideas to bring to our Municipality. How can you help with this? A: First, we meet and develop a plan to bring your ideas to the Municipality, and then go from there. Q: Are these courses approved by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania? A: Yes, they are accredited by the Pennsylvania State Fire Academy and/or Butler County Community College. Q: Do these classes cost anything? A: This would depend on the number of students enrolling in the class. Q: Do you contract Safety/Fire Safety for Groups, Organizations, Fire Departments, and Business and Industry? A: Yes, we can modify courses for your particular needs. Q: Will I need any Fire Fighting equipment for these courses? A: This would depend on the course. Some require gear and others don't. Q: Do I have to have an annual refresher for HazMat courses? A: Yes, according to the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency). Do you have a question that you need an answer for?
